Full Service For Your Furnishings

Fabric furnishings are often heavily used and thus show soil and dirt quickly. The ServiceMaster of Victoria - Residential professionals are experts at selecting the correct cleaning system for various fabric types and soil conditions.

For all upholstery cleaning, our technicians use specially designed products, equipment, and methods every step of the way, including initial vacuuming and spot treatment, cleaning, rinsing, water extraction, and washing and polishing frames.

Upholstery Cleaning

Unlike carpets, which usually are vacuumed and cleaned once a week, upholstered furniture often go weeks and months without any treatment. They also face different types of stains and stresses. Upholstery fabrics are often darker, with different patterns and textures that can conceal dirt and oils from even the trained eye. While dust can be removed consistently through vacuuming, oils can penetrate the fibers and must be dealt with special equipment. Failing to do so will degrade the fabric over time. At ServiceMaster of Victoria - Residential, our technicians will clean your furniture using specialized equipment and products from our Green For® product line.

Pricing is dictated by the fibre content, as natural materials are more difficult to clean and require additional care. Canadian-made furniture fabric content is usually printed on a tag attached to, or under, the cushions. Another method is to touch and feel the material's texture. Natural fibers tend to be softer compared to rougher synthetic material, but this is not a definitive test. If you are not able to identify your furniture's content, not to worry: our technician can provide an estimate upon his or her arrival and you can decide whether you would like any work completed.

Leather Furniture Cleaning

Although leather is significantly more durable than upholstery, it still requires periodic care to keep it in prime shape. As with any skin, leather is made up of cells that contain moisture and oil that keep the surface supple and flexible. Without proper care, the surface will become brittle, and crack over time. In addition to performing the manufacturer's recommended care (such as regular cleanings and applying conditioners), ServiceMaster of Victoria - Residential can also play an important part in keeping your furniture looking its best. Our technician will assess the leather's condition, wash and recondition the surface without using silicone based products that can leave a residue. This will enhance the life and appearance of the furniture for years to come.
